Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initiation into the Catholic Church and dates back to the 1st Century AD.

The importance of baptism was revealed to us by Our Lord in John 3:5, when He stated:

Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit

This water is the water of baptism, with the word baptism derived from the Greek βάπτισμα, meaning 'to dip'. Since

the foundation of the Catholic Church, it has been the custom to baptise infants. If you desire to have the

Sacrament of Baptism conferred upon your child, please contact the parish here.

Alternatively, if you are an adult seeking baptism for yourself, please
